Grand Cafe Van Gogh

I would consider this place on the upper price range. The staff is very polite and friendly. They offer seating inside and outside as well as a closed terrace (which can be a selling point during winter). The food is pretty mediocre, but drink-wise they quantity as well as quality is satisfying to say the least.

Ruxandra Dorobantu

A cafe offering mostly what its name suggests. Full of Van Gogh paintings on its walls and painted umbrellas on the ceiling. The prices are a bit above expected for the experience. The beverages are below what I would expect from the place and the price. Music selection is good for the feeling of the place. The staff mediocore.

Reasonably good cafe in Old Town Bucharest. Interesting decorations and Van Gogh inspired decor. The French toast is very sweet, I would recommend it but it was quite sickly towards the end. My friend had the American Pancakes with maple syrup and bacon - he would rate it very highly as there was so much bacon!

Nice place to visit while in Bucharest Old Town! Still very much Bucharest's default 'meet you there' venue. Its genius is that it's ideal at every time of day: morning coffee or breakfast sat in front of one of the long windows, a casual lunch at one of the wooden tables, a meal and a late night at the bar. During the summer the terrace is one of the city's most popular. The food is good - simple and very reasonably priced - and this large, friendly café is a winner: you will go back more than once.

It's a nice place with good atmosphere , where you can spend the early afternoon for a coffee with friends, or for a dessert after lunch ...No wonder the owner is a friendly dutch guy :)

one of the little known secrets of this great place is that it used to be an old swiss bank and downstairs you can find ...THE SAFE - it's actually a real safe door that leads to a non-smoking salon!
