Really friendly staff and very nice rooms. The TV has tons of channels including news channels in many languages.
The two biggest downsides are the room access and air conditioning. There are no stairs to access the rooms, only a lift. If you have trouble with tight or small places this is not a good fit.
The effect of air conditioning is barely noticeable even though it makes a lot of noise. In summer this is quite uncomfortable and makes it difficult to sleep. You have to choose between noise or heat. And even at full power the cooling is barely noticeable. I've stayed there around five times now (because the rooms and staff are nice) and the AC has always been an issue.
Another thing to be aware of: don't rely on the restaurant. It seems popular with the locals and during most of my stays it was blocked by a group celebrating a wedding or something similar

Very much like my visits to the hotel. Cousy and clean rooms. Breakfast is quite good and staff is very polite.

A beautiful modern hotel with a touch of luxury and service, Double Tree By Hilton is a very well maintained hotel located in Bucharest’s commercial and business district, near Unirii Square.
The reception was good so was the room service. Breakfast buffet was sumptuous and accommodating (Nicu is an excellent staff who’ll check with you about any special requests you may have - chef prepared delicious omelettes on all my breakfast days!). You do get a warm cookie when you check in as a special treat;) Room service was great.
I wouldn’t really say it’s in the heart of the city as almost every attraction will take a good 20 minute walk from here.

My visit here was much better this time than the last. The front desk staff was very welcoming and accommodating, even sendng toothpaste to my room when I needed it in the morning. The room was comfortable and had everything I could want. The breakfast was delicious, with relaxing jazz music, fresh orange juice, coffee and more than just the usual food selection.
